Activities

Family Expectations couples have access to extended activities that focus on a variety of topics. These include workshops on baby care, child development, finances, family planning and social events. Other extended activities include support groups such as Boot Camp for New Dads, Team Mom and Team DADD. These activities strengthen the core skills learned in Family Expectations workshops and provide couples a time to develop healthy relationships with other couples, while keeping the fun and friendship alive in their relationship.

Family Expectations Social Events

Family Expectations hosts several social events each year for couples and their children. This is a time to have fun, interact, learn and share with other Family Expectations participants. One of the most popular events of the year is the FE Holiday party. This event takes place each December and includes a fun-filled night of food, music, tradition and presents for the kids. Rumble, the Thunder Mascot, has even made an appearance to wish all the families a happy holiday.

Another exciting social event offered to FE couples is the Sensational Zoo Adventure. Each summer couples and their children gather at the Oklahoma City Zoo for a fun-filled day exploring the exhibits, learning about the different animals and enjoying a delicious picnic lunch. This is another opportunity for FE participants to learn and grow as a family.
